Recientemente HdV ha tenido una enorme concurrencia de estudiantes voluntarios del Colegio Pitzer! Queríamos enviar un gran agradecimiento a todos los estudiantes de Pitzer que tomaron un viaje de OA (actividad de orientación) hasta el jardín. La semana pasada tuvimos el placer de trabajar con dos grupos: ‘LA Artes y la Alimentación’ y ‘Sostenibilidad en Acción’ y más tarde en la semana vamos a ver ‘LA Artes y la Alimentación’ de nuevo, así como un grupo de ‘justicia social’. Siempre hay mucho trabajo por hacer en el jardín desde sacar hiervas hasta la construcción tenemos un montón de actividades para todos los niveles de habilidad. Si usted es un estudiante Pitzer que no podría hacer uno de los viajes de OA para el jardín o simplemente una persona increíble que buscan involucrarse- con gusto extendemos una invitación. Nuestros días de trabajo son de 6 a 9 pm de martes - domingo. Esperamos verte por el jardín!
Recently HdV has had a tremendous turnout of Pitzer College student volunteers! We wanted to send out a huge THANK YOU to all the incoming Pitzer students who took an OA trip (orientation activity) down to the garden. Last week we had the pleasure of working with two groups- ‘LA Arts and Food’ and ‘Sustainability in Action’ and later in the week we will see ‘LA Arts and Food’ again as well as a ‘Social Justice’ group. There is always much work to be done in the garden from weeding, to planting, to painting, to building/ constructing we have lots of activities for all different skill levels. If you are a Pitzer student who couldn’t make one of the OA trips to the garden or just an awesome person looking to get involved we gladly extend an invitation. Our work days are 6-9pm Tuesday- Sunday. Hope to see you around the garden!
